| Gunther Sachs's statistical demonstrations : Gunther Sachs
(mathematician and economist) has published recently a book under the title "Die Akte
Astrologie" (Wilhelm Goldmann Verlag, Munich, 1997).
He summarizes the large investigation that he made with his team on millions of people
birth dates in order to find correlations between their astrological sign and different
objective parameters as the fact to marry somebody particular, to separate from somebody,
to live alone, to have a particular education, to have a particular job, etc…
He got impressive results and could demonstrate statistically that the chance to
obtain such results is lower than 1/1 000 000 !
As an example, he made an investigation on the astrological sign (the sign in which the
Sun was when you were born) of the people who married in France between 1976 and 1997.
The number of couples is 6 498 320.
Regarding the 144 allowed combinations (12x12), 24 demonstrated a significant statistical
gap and the chance to get such gaps on a so large population is 1 chance over 1
billion !

Different observations come from this table:
- The people born with the same sign marry together more frequently (12 positive
combinations over the 13).
- The principle of geometric harmony provides that the compatibility is better between two
signs separated by an angular distance of 0, 60 or 120 degrees.
The 13 positive combinations in the table here above respect that principle and no one of
the 11 negative combinations involves 2 signs that are in harmony which means that this
result respects also the harmonic principle (with the exception of men Pisces and women
Cancer : only one exception over the 11 combinations).
Totally, we can say that 23 significant observations over 24 respect the harmonic rule
(whereas the expected ratio is 10/24).
- An important information, which does not appear in the table, is that the actual
number of couples of which the two spouses were born the same day is measured at 6417
whereas the expected probable number is only 1867 !
